Captured at the close of day in Sequoia National Park, this scene is unlike anything you’d expect. As the sun dipped behind the ridges, fire management crews carried out controlled burns that left the mountains veiled in drifting smoke. The result was a breathtaking, almost paper-mâché landscape.
